Easily sort your banknotes! Below you can find more information about the different counting and sorting modes and what they do.
Click on the active mode on the bottom left corner of the screen or press the MODE button to open the count menu. Then simply select the desired counting or sorting option.
Mix - Default
When you select this counting mode the device will count unsorted banknotes from the same currency. Any banknotes that are from a different currency (or are suspected to be counterfeit), will be placed into the reject pocket.
Don't want to manually switch between currencies? Activate the automatic currency recognition feature by selecting *CUR*.
Multi-Mix
Want to count multiple different currencies at once? No problem! Simply select the multi-mix mode. The device will now count all the different currencies and denominations while still verifying their authenticity.
Sort
When you select this counting mode the device will count banknotes from one single denomination. Banknotes that have a different denomination than the first counted note (or are suspected to be counterfeit) will be placed in the reject pocket.
V-Sort
You can also sort banknotes based on their version (old and new). When you select this mode the device only counts one denomination version. Banknotes from a different denomation or different denomination version, than the first counted note (and suspected counterfeits) will be placed in the reject pocket.
Count
When you select this counting mode, the device will only count the number of banknotes. It will not calculate their value as it will not check their currency or denomination. If you activate the counterfeit detection feature it will place suspected counterfeits in the reject pocket.
Face
Select this counting mode if you want to sort your banknotes based on their facing direction (front or back). Any banknotes that have a different direction (or denomination) than the first counted one, will be placed in the reject pocket.
Simply flip the stack in the reject pocket to match the one in the stacker.
Orient
Select this counting mode if you want to sort your banknotes based on their orientation direction (top or bottom). Any banknotes that have a different direction (or denomination) than the first counted one, will be placed in the reject pocket.
Simply turn the stack in the reject pocket to match the one in the stacker.
V-Mix
When you select this counting mode, the device will create batches of the value that you enter. Any banknotes that cannot be used to create a batch of that value will be placed in the reject pocket.
Fit
You can select this counting mode if you want to sort out banknotes that are dirty, damaged, or taped. The device will still count mixed banknotes (multiple denominations), but any banknotes that are deamed unfit (or are suspected counterfeits) are placed in the reject pocket.
Please note that this counting mode is only available on the Safescan 2995-SC.
