Introduction of the new €5 banknote
In May 2013 the European Central Bank (ECB) will introduce new €5 Euro banknotes. Alongside the aesthetic changes this new "Europa" series will also feature some new and improved security features.



The €5 banknote will be the first to be brought in to circulation. The other denominations from the new Europe Series, including the €10, €20 and €50 will gradually be introduced over the next few years.

With the introduction of the new series of banknotes you will still want to be assured that you will be able to differentiate between real and counterfeit bank notes.
