Yes, counterfeit currency detectors with automatic detection features such as the Safescan 85, 100,125 and 200 have been tested by DNB. Each of the products obtained a score of 100% for counterfeit currency detection. Please go to www.dnb.nl for more information.

Do the Safescan counterfeit currency detectors also work on Euro notes containing Trichet's signature, the new president of the ECB?

Yes, all Safescan products have been tested for this and are working flawlessly with the new notes.

How should I maintain Safescan products?

All Safescan products are equipped with advanced and sensitive detection technology. Both notes and coins are often dirty, so sensors and other sensitive parts need to be cleaned at regularly. This is outlined in more detail in the user manuals.

Testimonial
Den Heijer is especially known as a supplier to the catering industry. The company has a an extensive fleet of cars, so that customers can be supplied quickly. But it also happens that people come to collect the products themselves. “And that is where Safescan enters the equation,’ says Auke. “There are many people who come to collect orders in the store. And of course these orders are paid for in cash. Occasionally, we had to accept some fishy banknotes, so to speak.
We knew that the UV-lights at the cash registers were outdated and we had already tested several new devices. Most of them were uneasy in use; banknotes could only be entered in one direction and they often had to be scanned several times to obtain a reliable result.”
